Short biography

• While a secondary school student, he won the Mathesis award in a national (italian) mathematics contest.
• He obtained the "Laurea" degree in Electronics Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino, Italy.
• He was later a postgraduate student at McGill University (Montreal, PQ Canada) and a lecturer with the Department of Electronics, University of Ife (now Awolowo University, Western Nigeria).
• He has been a European Economic Commission official, working in documentary and statistical databases (in the staff of DG XIII and EUROSTAT respectively).
• He is co-founder and technical director of Codework, a software engineering company specializing in Decision Support Systems.
• He is the chief designer of the 3-way TANGRAM (an OLAP platform) and has been project leader in over fifty OLAP projects for banks and industrial customers.

Scientific interests

His current interest include semantics, information theory, cryptography and the foundations of DSS-OLAP systems.

He has served as a referee for the IEEE Information Theory Journal.
